Summer 2026 - Live music continues to be exciting in Edinburgh.
There are lots of fine sessions and musical events in the City of Edinburgh, and further afield, to attend and enjoy.
And fun ceilidh dances with The Occasionals too - all new dates are listed here below.
There are regular traditional music & song sessions in Edinburgh in local bar venues - Sandy Bells, The Black Cat, Captain’s Bar, The Royal Oak and, in particular, The Waverley Bar, on Sunday afternoons, (3pm to 6pm) where I can often be found playing music with top Scots singer George Duff, ‘Ossian’, ‘Easy Club’ & ‘Tannahill Weavers’ fiddle maestro John Martin, ‘Battlefield Band’ ace piper Mike Katz, ‘Boys of the Lough’ legend Cathal McConnell and others.
